The North Star has returned to Ocean City, NJ, after briefly sailing out of Sea Isle City. There can only be one North Star in Ocean City, NJ. Our New Jersey Party Boat, the North Star, has been in Ocean City, NJ, since 1950. The North Star is now the only party boat in Ocean City. It is owned and operated by Captain Tim Barrus. Ocean City Fishing
Welcome to the North Star New Jersey Party Boat located in Ocean City, NJ. This NJ Party Boat is known for its great fishing and is now the only party boat in Ocean City. We fish for Blackfish, Sea Bass, Croaker, Weakfish, Porgy, Fluke/Flounder, Dolphin Fish, Striped Bass, Bonito, Ling, Tuna, Tilefish, and Bluefish depending on the time of year and length of the trip out. To experience the finest in Ocean City Fishing, come to the North Star.
Margate Fishing
If you are vacationing in Margate, take advantage of the great fishing aboard the New Jersey Party Boat, the North Star. We do Half Day Fishing trips in the Back Bay area where the waters are calm, the fish are plentiful, and families are welcome. Our Ocean Fishing is also available on Sunday and Wednesday nights. Our location in Ocean City is right next door to Margate for Margate Fishing.
Sea Isle City Fishing
The New Jersey Party Boat, the North Star, is well known for its Sea Isle City Fishing. Although we are now right nearby in Ocean City, we still enjoy our Sea Isle City fisherman. For Sea Isle City Fishing, join us on the North Star.
New Jersey Fishing Boat
We are a party/fishing boat and also offer private charters. The North Star is a 1973 Miami Boat Works 70' X 18.5' headboat, currently licensed for up to 128 passengers and comfortably fishes 50 - 70. She is powered by 950hp twin turbo 892TA's Detroit Diesels and can cruise at speeds of up to 20 knots, which increases your fishing time. We are proud to say that we are the cleanest, fastest boat in town!
New Jersey Charter Boat
We will be available for charters 7 days a week. Our New Jersey Charter Boat has been refitted for the new season. New interior, decks, and paint have been put in place. Major fish finding equipment upgrades. Captain Tim has purchased a side imaging sounder to help hunt down fish and structures like never before! We promise you that we are the only boat around with this technology.
Wreck Fishing Specialist
Our New Jersey Party Boat, The North Star, is known for its great wreckfishing ability. Captain Tim knows where the best spots are to catch wreckfish, such as Blackfish and Ling.

Ocean Sunsets
We have an Ocean Sunset Cruise where you can take in beautiful sunsets on the water, and see Whales and Dolphins frolicking in the sea. Although we don't see these wonderful mammals every time, they are frequent visitors to our New Jersey Party Boat.
Special Events
Our special events include a Fireworks Cruise on the 4th of July and our once a year Night In Venice. The Night In Venice parade in Ocean City, NJ, is held in July. We will be running an open boat or it can be chartered. Open boat will have DJ entertainment & food provided. BYOB if you'd like. Call for more info.
